Pick your battles. It’s okay to back down and let someone else think they’ve won; especially, if it will keep the tirade from continuing on for days.

I agree with you! Sometimes letting someone have thier moment of “steam” validates their feelings/opinions and tends to let the situation cool a bit.
Hard to do that though with some folks – ya just want to smack them upside the head and walk away! Dang it!
