I filled up my car this morning, and it cost less than $40! I wonder if it will ever go down to $25 to fill my car again. Maybe not. But, it was a good way to start the day off regardless.

Gee Don..you sound just like my son who drives a tiny little Hyundai Getz 4 cylinder toy car, it runs for miles on hardly any fuel. My Hyundai SUV cost me AUS$98 to fill (75 litre tank), which caused my husband to gag, cough and splutter but being an at home Mum I try to limit any cruising and often I only need to fill the tank every two weeks or so. I still think the spike in fuel prices and the push regarding carbon footprints is another way to tax people. Even if you got behind your car and pushed it they would find some way of taxing you for that too.
Well aren’t you the lucky one
!!! To fill my car takes about 70 quid (rough conversion I guess would make it $120 ish) …..so you just count your blessings that you don’t live over here!
how much in uk money is $40.00
Actually C. I do. If my car is almost on empty, I can put 25 in my car and that fills it up.
I was down to a quarter of a tank and the end of the week last week, and it cost me $58 bucks to fill my car. This morning, I noticed that I was down a quarter of a tank, so I went to fill it again…. and it cost me ANOTHER $28 bucks! Man, will I EVER be glad when my youngest is out of her carseat… I’m getting rid of my big, honkin’ SUV and getting a Honda Pilot!
I hate to sound completely pessimistic, but I sincerely doubt we’ll ever see a fill-up costing $25 dollars again. Ever.
Wow, under $40.00 to fill your tank? That is great!
I filled my daughter’s car up for just under $40.00 the other day and thought I had won the lotto. Then I realized that she still had a 1/4 of a tank when I filled her car.
Luckily her car gets great gas mileage.
Don. I thought you were going to tell us you’re engaged. LOL
Anyway. Almost 40 dollars? What kind of car do you drive? 25 fills up my car and I drive a Nissan Sentra.
Well. WTG, Don. I would be happy too. I wonder if I can fill my car up under 20. Never happens unless its on a half tank of gas.
I just hope the gas prices here in MS can go down a little, but its not that bad here.
