The time has come!
Last November, my brother Brandon signed up for the Mormon Times Showcase Competition; singers/song writers share their music, and the Web surfers get to vote. During the first leg of the competition, Brandon was chosen as one of the top four semi-finalists out of more than 30 contestants. Now begins the semi-finals round. The last three months, 12 people have been chosen for this round. We need your help to get him to the finals. This is round will be a lot shorter than the previous voting: Feb 16 through Mar 2. That only gives us 2 weeks! So, let’s get the word out and see if we can get Brandon into the final round. …and thank you all, in advance, for your willingness to help my brother reach his goal. I think this is probably the first time he’s really put himself out there, and shared his music with the world. I love ya, Bro! Go get ‘em!!!

If you don’t all ready have an account with Mormon Times, you’ll need to get one set up. CLICK HERE! (Don’t worry. You don’t need to be a Mormon to sign up, and they will not send missionaries to your home. Everyone I’ve talked to has said they have never received any unsolicited information or spam from the Web site — I was worried about that, too!)

Everyone gets one vote per day, so make sure you go back as often as you remember and vote for him. I’ll be including little reminders at the bottom of my posts as well. (…and if I forget, I’m sure someone will remind me.)

I would love for Brandon to go to the finals and maybe win it. It was sad that David didn’t go to the big show, but that’s ok. It wasn’t for him.
I think I saw your cousin, Nathan also in the competition, but he didn’t make it. But that’s ok. I heard he’s about to put out an album this year.
I wish Brandon great luck and I’ll be voting for him for the next two weeks to get him to the finals.
So Don. If Brandon goes to the finals, are you and the whole Osmond family going to be there to cheer him on?

You know, Don. I wonder if they are keeping a secret of how many votes they have. The last time I checked, it wasn’t showing up for me.
I have a feeling Brandon is going to the finalist. Unless 6 people are ahead of him, he’s going.

I think they are not revealing the numbers because they want us to be in agonizing suspense for 2 weeks. When I got up at 0500 this AM to go to work, I quickly got on the computer and voted because tonight when I get home, my hubby will be gone and will have my laptop!! The nerve of him. And I did not want to miss out voting today.
