Twice this week I’ve fallen asleep in places you typically shouldn’t fall asleep: the park, the chiropractor’s office.
It might be because I’ve been averaging five to six hours of sleep a night. Why? Because I’m single, and there are parties every night.
Mind you I was only out for about 15 – 20 minutes at each location, and after waking up I fully rested and ready to take on the rest of the day. Which got me thinking… I should nap everyday!
This idea then triggered the answer to my all-burning question; “Who am I going to vote for?” I’ll vote for whomever will mandate siesta time.

Hmmmm…sleep. Sore subject with me lately. I’m finding it more and more difficult to sleep these days…I’m so tired but my body is telling me I don’t need it. Well I need to have a word or two with my body…I DO need it…I want it.
I’ve always found it’s different with men…they can nod off anywhere, any time. Guess they don’t have as many worries as woman…lol..;)
Don, are you really partying EVERY night? hmmmm…maybe your body is trying to tell you something…;)
I’m with Mama C., although I don’t have very small children anymore I’m constantly finding I don’t have enough hours in the day. Most days I could quite easily have a nap, and through in some ill health and you really need asleep.
What’s your opinion of daylight savings, Don? Do you find it causes you even more sleep-deprivation and throws the body-clock out? I think it’s a con to make us work extra hours.
Do you nod off at church too? It’s usually such a peaceful place and ideal for sleep.
I think I go against the grain of today’s “power nappers”. I personally dislike them. A lot. I mean, if I’m going to take the effort to nap, then I want a bonafide, restful sleep. Twenty minutes is just a “tease” as far as I’m concerned.
Hmmmm… these days, on average, I’m getting between 5 and 6 hours of sleep at night. And, I’m WAAAYYYY beyond my partying years. My reason for the severe lack of sleep is my 3 1/2-year-old, who wakes up several times a night with horrid dreams of her being chased by monsters. Not fun. I’d rather be in your shoes, that’s for sure. Or, should I say your “snooze”.
Sorry… that was a real groaner. What do you expect from a sleep deprived Mama?

Hey Aussie jest wanted to let you know I have my blog up. I started it this week. If you want you can have a look at it, you are not required to. mythoughtsandphilosophies.blogspot.com
I wanted to call it thoughts and philosophies from the publicly educated but it was too long. I thought that it would be the perfect oxymoron, after all I did grad-you-ate from Cyprus High School. Yes Char and I still say that, and I still tell people to go back to “Cyprus and learn how to drive.”

Don, Don, Don, Don. I’m very single. and I get the same amount of sleep you do every night, but I also I don’t go partying every night or have a very busy schedule.
I guess the advantage of being single is no parents to tell you what to do, tell them where you are, come home when you want to, and date every night. OK. I don’t do the last part, but you know what I mean.
I usually take power naps before I had to bed. I get up to iron and take my hot bath before I head to bed.
So I’m usually in bed a little after midnight and I don’t feel tired the rest of the day.
Let me tell you, Don. Power naps work. I used to have to be at work 5 o’clock(that’s AM) for about 2 years and I took naps in the afternoon when I get home. Those naps help me because if I don’t nap, I will feel it the next day.
Or Don. You could just slow down a little and party maybe once or twice a week, but than again. I should be partying too since I’m single. LOL
Power naps are great. As long as its not on your girlfriends time or in your soup. Not a good thing.
Parties every night, hummmm, you must be doing alot of smooging for you PR work, as you are just making an appearance, otherwise you’d be staying alot longer. Sounds like me. I know how it works, been there, done that, and still have to do that. Now smooging is good especially when your looking for 45K for the bobsleding.

Power naps! The secret of overly busy, highly functioning, sleep deprived humans who live among the rat race of life.
I love a quick power nap!
must not be fun parties if you are getting 5 to 6 hours of sleep.. that’s pretty good.
