Yes it is Pioneer day on this day in Utah. Most of the LDS members have the day off from work I know my sil Kasey does and my daughter Amy were looking forward to this day.
Enjoy this day Don!!!

I knew the daredevil in you would think that was spiffy. Makes me a little seasick (or is that airsick?), actually!

That’s just too cool not to share! Thanks!
A friend of mine sent me this link, and when I opened it, and checked it out, I immediately thought of you:

I figured you’d enjoy taking a break sometime and playing with it a bit. It’s the closest to flying down snow-capped mountains that I can get ya!

I hope you enjoy your holiday, and get to go to the celebration with your family.
Hugs,

I seriously don’t know! Probably the fact that I had already worked half a day before I realized my error. Next year!
happy pioneer day!
You know, I never heard of this holiday until I lived in Utah a few years.
I was happy that it was the 24th and not the 23rd.. I don’t like the 23rd.
So what are you doing for the ‘holiday?’ I want to watch the live broadcast of your singing family.
Sara, I know many who actually do that. I think you should. What’s stopping you?
Though we celebrate Pioneer Day today our stake function is Saturday. Remember it's Vegas not Utah. It is a great day to reflect…that we didn't have to rough it like the pioneers…O.K I'm joking just a bit! At Sacrament, (we have some great stock in our ward from Pratt, to Kimball) it was great to hear our speakers reference there relatives from the D&C. Also to witness what they have learned from the journals of past!
BTW..Took your pioneer pic and put on my blog Thanks =)
Don’t you think I should be able to claim a religious holiday and take the day off?
