Picture this: Del Taco; lunchtime as the typical clientèle hustle in. A motley crew of body shapes jockey for position in line, while others scope out prime real estate leaving an understood “no vacancy” sign at each table.

A typical, middle age gentleman wearing an oversized Harley Davidson shirt approaches a table of octogenarians just as a youthful family is leaving the establishment.

Gentleman: Nice family you’ve got there.

Male Octogenarian: Thank you. That’s my granddaughter there. She’s 18 and getting married next week.

Gentleman: Is the young man worthy of her?

Male Octogenarian: Oh yes! He’s a return missionary.

Gentleman: Well, that’s half the battle.

  1. You forgot one very important detail. The “ordinary gentleman” was none other than local celebrity and tool KUTV’s Roland Steadman.

Personal opinions aside, if he’s such a celebrity what was he doing at Del Taco?

  2. Well, I tried to go with anonymity to protect the guilty, but alas… Crazy Utah celebrities!
