Here’s a little more from Costa Rica. It doesn’t include me, but rather two of my friends — Adam and Tyson.
These two thought bull fighting would be a great way to ring in the new year… yeah, BULL FIGHTING!

and that is why you went to Costa Rica?….i like the story of getting engaged better…i’m just a hopeless romantic!
In Costa Rica, the bull fights are quite different from traditional Spanish Bull Fighting. For one, there are no profressional toreros. All the bullfighters are amateurs who run into the bull ring to taunt the bull with their jeers, jests, hands, etc., and then run like crazy to avoid being horned by the bull.
In the Costa Rican version of the bullfight, it is always the torero that gets injured. Never the bull. The bull is never in danger of harm or death.
And as such, there are instructions that every participant in the bull ring “must” have purchased an insurance policy by the state insurer or will not be allowed to participate.

That poor bull, he must have been really scared with all those people about….if someone had got hurt, it would have been their own fault…JMO
OK, Don. Your friends are very crazy. Bullfighting? That’s soo dangerous. You can get seriously hurt with bullfighting. I am surprised you didn’t try it or did you? (Does the Dr. Evil) Don’t you have the adventurous side in you.
Well at least you came back in one piece and the only sane one to not do it.
