So, I was sent this in an email recently…
I figured it is the perfect combination of two hot topics in the news: one from the economy; one from entertainment.
May I introduce you to…

I know about Smart Cars, but is there really one that looks like that? Because I totally want one!
I love the smart car. I want one.. there’s a dealership not far from where I live and I have seen them on the road. I want a red one.. but I really like the batmobile version. Like I said in my previous post.. it’s cute! And as a batmobile it would have all the batmobile accessories, right?
Lucky it’s only him and Robin then..no room for the butler in that one!
That is a cool picture Don!
But I want to know HOW does
Batman fit in that car? :=)

Oh, and by the way, you should re-name this post, “Holy Green, Batman!”
Just a thought.
I posted a reply to you on my blog, in case you’re interested in reading my tired, Mama rantings. There’s another question at the end for you, too. That is, if you’re up for the challenge.

From Wikipedia:
“Later versions of the famed Batmobile would be built off the stretched-out platforms of other cars, such as the Chevrolet Caprice and Buick Riviera. This style was used in the two Batman films directed by Tim Burton. Reputedly, every gadget seen on the Batmobile used in these films was fully functional, including the jet engine, which consumed fuel at such a high rate that there was only enough fuel capacity to run it for the approximately 15 seconds of the longest shot in which you can see it operating.”
Talk about being as FAR REMOVED from “green” as possible!
It’s still a way-cool car, though!

Okay – I so should not even chime in here … having been teased my entire life about Batman and “Robin”
(Hey Robin, where’s Batman? You are so fat, you must have swallowed him.)
(Robin, did ya lay an egg and scare Batman off?)
Yes, we all know kids can be cruel. And I was the ultimate target growing up, short, fat, and no self esteem.
(Now I am just short and fat.)
But I digress from the topic at hand.
I can not see Batman jumping into this cute little car to save the world. And, I think Robin is already “green” enough his green tights.
We have a few of these “Smart Cars” running around the Sacramento Valley – I’d hate to see one in an accident – yikes!
Yep… that’s a real car. Look up Smart Car on Google.
…and I don’t think Batman’s car is electric. Doesn’t he have a jet engine in the back?
HaHa….not sure that car would do a lot for Batmans street cred…maybe Robin.
Actually, isn’t the Batmobile electric anyway…not that I’d know I’m not into Batman, but I’ve never seen it pull in at gas station…ha

I love that car.. it’s CUTE!
That’s not a REAL car, is it?
I think my 6’1″ husband would disown me if I brought that home and introduced it as our new family car!
One thing’s for sure… you have to be a REALLY good driver to get in that thing…otherwise, it’ll look more like an accordian, rather than a “mini me” Batmobile.

P.S. — Did you catch up on your sleep?
Green? I don’t get it. Oh. Are you talking about the car. Oh I get it now.
Boy that costume looks like the 60s version of Batman when Adam West was batman.
Interesting picture. Great post, Don.
