I was on the phone last night with a close Canadian friend of mine. We were discussing our typical topic of conversation – dating. She made the comment: “Don, you’re lucky you’re a guy. Being a girl, you have to sit and wait for a guy to ask you out.”
Well, the tables have turned – it’s leap year. That means, girls, get out and snag a man.
Although your sentiments are sweet and your idea is encouraging. A real lady would never take such a privilege away from the likes of a man- for that is the way it must be! Buck up my friend and take it like a man!

True, but this would be under the assumption that you’ve been dating someone for a while. I don’t think it would be a good idea to just go up to the first random guy and ask him to marry you.
