The election is just around the corner and I’m curious. Who are you going to vote for?

I’m going to put a poll on the sidebar, so leave your mark and let’s find out what the consensus is with you “Opinion” readers.
PS. I welcome votes from those of you who are not in the States — Let’s make this interesting.

Well, I am not American, but definitetly you’re(americans)our brother. I’m in Canada. I guess I have an opinion, my great great great grandmother was American from New England area, I am also a downline from John Brown, downline from Joseph Smith, lots of popular americans. Well, I have watched and they both have their strengths, but I think I am going with McCain on this one. I would love for you all to have your first Black President, but lets not vote for him just for that. And I am thinking that he hopes the same. It is going to be tight mind you. Hey we had a women Prime Minister for all of 6 months I think. It just doesn’t matter, because whoever gets in there, everyone in a year from now is going to complain about him and the trash mags will trash his outfits. As for the Paulin women I think she’s cool. I like her and for the teenage pregnancy thing, well we can only teach them and hope they are happy.
From where I sit here in Australia, I think the sentimental favourite is Obama, but I don’t think it will happen, so I think it will be the other guy who David Letterman jokes about as old as a Galapagos Island turtle.
And I’m always amazed at people who say they don’t vote. It’s very important to have your say in how your country is run and who represents you.
Yes Jane i agree with you, sorry i dont want to affend anyone in any way,i was just saying what i think.
IF I HAVE IM VERY SORRY.
The only reason i said about the colour of Obama is, everytime i see the news, there are always black people around him and in the audience, not many white people.
And i personaly think hes not got the backing from the people who actually need help,
I have a couple of friends who live in the USA,who are black, and they said all the people who they know are voting for OBAMA, all because they are the same colour and they want a black leader, they think he will do well cos of his colour.
Yet other friends of mine say, the other two will do just as well.
Youre never going to know untill November.

Aly…I think there is a lot more involved in choosing who you want to run your country then the colour of their skin…or their mothers’ background…and I’m sure there will be quite a few white people who will back Obama too.
Now then Don, who are you backing?
Gee… maybe Ralph Nader will actually win this year, huh?
To be honest i dont vote here in the UK, i never have in the 109 yrs ive been alive.LOL
But if i were to vote i would vote for,MACAIN/PALIN,
Because i think there values are good,MCAIN has got a real down to earth mum,who is on a par with the family, just look at her family and back ground.
I personaly think they would make real progress for your country, and do a real great job.
The only thing i can say about ,OBAMA is that hes black, and as far as i can gather there are a lot of coloured peolpe in the USA,that will back him.
Who ever the peolpe of the USA decicde is the winner, im sure that they will do a great job for your country.
I hope you all get who you want,
I voted Obama as well, mainly for the fact I’d like to see America get its first black President. I haven’t really been following the debates or anything as I don’t have any real interest in politics, but I like the look of Obama. He looks trustworthy. I hope he does a good job when he wins…;)
I’m voting for Obama. I know he came to my state (actually had a pep rally at my old college) and I listened to his valves and I’m ok with it. Maybe also since I’m an African-American, its cool to maybe have the first black president in office, but putting aside his race. I like his opinion on different issues. I have listen to him a few times on tv, but than again. I’m Democratic, but that’s another story.
Obama and McClain are suppose to be in Mississippi this Friday to do their first debate. Its going to be interesting. Ole Miss is already have soo many there and the debate hasn’t even started yet.
Thank you!
I will a little later… Want to wait until there are a few votes in there… don’t want to bias it.
Don, will you add an option to your poll?
Undecided?
Ugh! I just can not make a decision yet.
