I was not surprised with the results of the poll.

Here’s the age breakdown:

38% – 21-30
33% – 46-55
23% – 31-45
1% – 16-20
1% – 10-15

I guess my blog resonates well with an older crowd.

I’m curious to know who is the one person that checked the 10 to 15 age group?

  1. I think you appeal to an “older crowd” because you’re an old soul yourself, Don.

I will totally admit that, at the beginning, I poked my head in here out of sheer curiosity. You are, after all, the eldest son of a guy I have a particular fondness for! :)

But, I’ve stayed because I think YOU are a really good guy, and I enjoy reading and participating in your blogs. If you were a stuck up, snotty little jerk, or even not as literate, or as funny, or as delightful, I would have bailed a long time ago.

I look forward to getting to know you better, and I hope this is the beginning of a friendship that will last for a long time. (And yes, I can truly “see” myself being friends with you! :)

    xox,

  4. Maybe the 10-15 year old is a cousin of yours?

  5. You obviously have a gift Don.
It wasn’t me checking the 10-15 age group, that would be a big lie for me. One of your brothers, maybe?

  8. Yes, well… I suppose the same could be said of you! :)

…and why did you ditch out on Monday night? So I was a little late showing up.

  9. Are you guys talking “snooty” or “snotty”…cos they both have very different meanings (one being high and mighty, the other being something kids usually wipe on the cuffs of their sleeves instead of using a hankie!). :D …but the spelling you guys are using could mean either one…considering it is spelt incorrectly :) and you a college kid – TUT TUT!!

Scouts honour it wasn’t me that entered the 10-15 age group…. hey I would love to even FEEL that young…so I guess you appeal to all ages….. including those with a wacky sense of humour too;)

  10. I think she was referring to me being snotty — as in being a snotty little brat! :) (and thanks for catching the typo!)

  11. If you want to get REALLY technical about it, I was referring to some children of celebrities, who think they can automatically elevate themselves to a “snottier” status, simply because of who they’re related to. Of course I don’t know you personally yet, Don, and therefore I could be completely wrong, but you appear to be the type of person who has not let that celebrity status influence you at all. I sincerely hope I’m correct in my assumption of you! :)

Oh, and Jilly… just for even MORE clarification, here’s the definition of snotty, as it is listed in Dictionary.com:

    Dictionary.com Unabridged (v 1.1)
    snot·ty –adjective, -ti·er, -ti·est.

    1. Vulgar. of or pertaining to snot.

    2. Informal. snobbish; arrogant; supercilious: a snotty kid.

    [Origin: 1560–70; snot + -y1]

    —Related forms
    snot·ti·ly, adverb
    snot·ti·ness, noun

I’d like to believe my demeanor when I post here is always pretty “informal”. Guess it suits the second definition then, huh? :)

  13. PMSL!!!!

S’okay Mama C – I know the meanings of the words – I meant they had double meanings, but hey…… and I don’t know Don either but I think his parents did a blinding job of keeping all their kids very grounded and “normal” ….whatever THAT may be ;)

My experence is that you don’t have to have celebrity status/parents anyhow….some people are just born downright rude and like to believe they are on a higher plane than everyone else…..that’s fine, they just have further to fall when the time comes…:D
