The 2008 Beijing Olympic Games have just recently concluded and now we are at the 500 day mark before the 2010 Vancouver Olympic Games.
Our team has been heavily training during the course of the summer, and it’s paying off. We’ve shaved off a few extra tenths of a second from our start times. We are anxiously anticipating what that will amount to on the ice. And, the season is just a few short weeks from getting started.
We’ll keep you posted with our results.
You can follow our team on the Team Blog or here.

”ill be watching” LOL
CU TAKECARE XXXX
Don. I have a question. I was looking at your team’s website and pictures you all were taking. I want to know. How much room do ya’ll in that thing. Its so small to fit 4 guys in there. DO ya’ll have room to breathe in there?
Thanks for the idea!
I’ll also chat with Jeremy about the changes need.
Don,
You might want Jeremy Holm to change the following, it reads….
Jeremy and the rest of Team Holt is working hard in anticipation of the 2010 Winter Olympics in Toronto.
I believe the Olympics are in Vancouver.
Fundraising ideas: Have a Dinner Gala, get sponsoring for the food and location, entertainment, etc. Ask people for gift donations and hold an Auction. You could even put the items on the Team site that are for auction so you get outside bids who can’t make it to the Gala. Gala name could be something like “Snowflakes and Dreams”. I went to one of these and 25,000 was raised. They sold tickets for the evening and there was food but like a night buffet, plus what was made at the bar and donations for the auction sales. It was alot of fun. OK, I got you half, your the PR guy, now come up with the rest. By the way I also think the Calendar in a good idea as well.
DONNNNNNNNN,
Have you ever done a calender of the team,
just a thought for the fun raising,

Good luck with the season. You all will do a good job. We will see you and your team on tv watching and cheering you on to win a gold metal.
And speaking of cold weather. I will trade you the snow for a not soo cold Mississippi winter. LOL We’re lucky if I will see snow here in Mississippi
Thanks! We don’t mind at all. If you have any good ideas about fund raising, let us know.
No, not yet. But, I expect the weather to get cold soon.
500 days will fly by. I bet you guys are getting excited.
I mentioned your Bobsledding team on my blog yesterday, (hope that is okay) I was talking about fund raising, and how googling fund raising led me to Team Holm’s website.
Is your weather co-operating, and will you have ice to practice on soon? Here in Cali all we have is heat, heat and more heat….. I am ready for cooler temperatures and rain.
