Literal Music Videos

Filed under: Music — donosmond @ 4:28 pm

Some music videos confuse me.

I don’t know what the artist was thinking when conceptualize ideas to visually portray their music. Here’s a fine example… But instead of watching the original version, let’s take a look at the literal meaning behind the music video

Enjoy!

Last Minute Christmas Shopping

Filed under: Day in the Life of... — donosmond @ 3:47 pm

Just as a man to wait until the eleventh hour.

Well, here I sit nearing the end of the work day and I’m thinking of all the shopping I haven’t done yet. Geesh! Why is it I always wait until the very last minute to get my shopping done?

I suppose it because I close my eyes and hope the hustle and bustle will die down before I absolutely have to go shopping.

For those of you who are not living in Utah right now, I thought I would give you a little update on the weather we are experiencing right now.

Brandon Made It!!

Filed under: Musing and Writing Projects — Tags: — donosmond @ 12:54 pm

Thanks all for your help. Brandon is in! He made it to the semi-finals. So, for right now we don’t need to vote for him. But, come February… Oh you know I’ll be rallying the troops again! :)

Brandon forwarded the e-mail to me and said I could share this on my blog. Enjoy…

Hi Brandon,

Congratulations on qualifying for the semifinals of our contest.

You will notice that we have taken your picture down and we will be putting it up on a semifinalist page shortly so people can hear your qualifying song.

Lots of people love you and your music.

I love listening to the piano

Filed under: Music — Tags: — donosmond @ 9:55 am

For me the piano is the most melodic, percussive instrument. When I listen to a well-trained pianist, I feel as though I’ve been touched spiritually. Well, I happen to come across this Web site the other day; I figured I would share. I’m not a fan of every song, but I loved “A Beautiful Storm.”

Since people’s tastes in music differ great from one person to another, I don’t expect that everyone reading is going to go out and buy the CD. As mentioned, I just thought I would share what I found surfing the Web.

I didn’t forget. :)

Now I don’t know if today is the last day to vote, or if you can vote tomorrow as well. But, this is may be my last big push for my brother.

If you haven’t been voting for my brother during these last 30 days, or if you’ve been a regular. Please help him make it to the semi-finals. Every vote counts; every vote is appreciated.

Thanks for all you’re help. Let cross our fingers and see if he makes it.

…But, I Love You.

I found this excerpt online; got me laughing… probably because I’m a little disenchanted right now.

“Disconcerted about the dating scene, this young man became jaded with the tactics of young ladies jockeying for pole position. Especially, as the sisters and mothers of said ladies crept their electronic fingers across the Web hoping to entangle him in a web reeking of feminine intrigue.”

Taxidermist With A Sense Of Humor

Filed under: Day in the Life of... — Tags: — donosmond @ 12:22 pm

Time for another great “work-related” e-mail.

A lady was telling her neighbor that she saw a man driving a pick-up truck down the interstate, and a dog was hanging onto the tail gate for dear life!

She said if the pick-up truck driver hadn’t been going so fast in the other direction, she would have tried to stop him.

A few weeks later, her neighbor saw this truck at the Bass Pro Shop in Daphne, Alabama!

The pick-up truck driver is a local taxidermist with a great sense of humor!
