It’s been a while since I’ve shared the funny e-mails I receive in the office. This is quite fitting since we’ve just finished the 2008 Olympics. You may have seen this before, but it was a first for me.
Enjoy!
I was at Kneaders the other day, and I noticed the staff putting up new décor for the upcoming holiday – Halloween!
Did I miss something? Let’s see… It was August 25 when I visited. Halloween is on October 31. That would give us 67 days. Isn’t that being just a little eager for an upcoming holiday? I mean, the earliest I see Christmas decorations going up is after Thanksgiving, and that’s only about 30 days.
Just out of curiosity, what days are we skipping over from now to Halloween?
Sept 1 – Labor Day
Sept 2 – Ramadan
Sept 11 – Patriot Day
Sept 13 – Columbus Day
Sept 21 – International Day of Peace
Sept 22 – First Day of Autumn
Oct 9 – Yom Kippur
…and I’m sure that I’m forgetting some.
It’s nearly impossible for me to truly articulate how excited I am to finally have this bike. So, a smiley will have to do…
Jeff, I hope I have your approval on my choice of bikes. Now we need to go on that road trip.
All right, I don’t think I’ll be posting for the rest of the weekend. I’ve got some riding to do.
Peace!
So, I thought it might be fitting to share with you a few photos of me through the years — since my birthday was somewhat recent. (I’m still going to milk it for what I can — Shameless!)
I had to dig deep into the Osmond archives to find these photos, so please view with respect. Theses are never before seen pictures of me.
Thank you Clay Blackham for sharing this fine Web site with the office.
So there’s a new movie coming out in about a month. I don’t have all the details just yet, but a couple buddies of mine have participated in creating it and I thought I’d share a short video.
Ryan Little worked on the production of the movie.
Matt Griff, fellow skeleton athlete, is featured in the promo video below. (He’s the one just about to swing the club.)
Enjoy!
You can also watch the trailer on the MTV Web site — so I’m told.
Once I get my motorcycle, this will be the first trick I learn…
Ok, so it’s a redundant title. But, have you ever had those experiences that are just too coincidental for you to brush it off to chance? I just did!
I’m sitting here at work listening to the latest in pop music. A song comes on, which caught my attention – never heard it before.
While all this is happening, I’m perusing my blog thinking about the many aestival topics I could write/reminisce about since summer is coming to a close. Then, I noticed a link to this said song that provided the lyrics. I quickly clicked on the link and read the words as the song played. It was spiritual and exciting all at the same time.
Now, I’m sure that you are all going to ask me what the song was… well, I’m going to keep that to myself just right now.
Just wanted to share the outcome of the experience.
Well, it looks like it’s that time again; time for another game that you are all going to hate me for sharing with you.
If your boss catches you playing computer games, just let him/her know that you are recharging your creative prowess.
I’ll be honest; it takes some time getting the hang of the game, but once you’ve got it — it’s got you!
Now… get back to work.
Who ever said that you can’t read 300 wpm?
I found this little diddy while at work the other day.
I frequently read a ton of articles every day, but it takes a long time. (Not always been the fastest reader.) But, this is a blessing from above. Seriously! Not to mention, it definitely removes the lackadaisical attitude resulting from reading boring articles.
If you’re a slow reader you may want to give it a try. If you all ready read 300+ wpm… well then.
