On a slow day at work, or any workday for that matter, I enjoy getting online to listen to radio webcasts from different stations. Until today…
Turns out that come July 15 there may never be another radio webcast – al fine. Apparently, the US Copyright Royalty Board is hiking the rates on music being played online. So high that it would surpass the revenue brought in by advertising.
And something tells me that’s not a strong business model
So in order to prevent “the day the music dies,” visit this website. If you are compelled to do something about it, there are links with more information.
OK, so since the most recent party at Emily Kunz’, people have asked me; “Don, where did you get those sweet dance skills?” Admittedly, I’m not much into the whole clubbing thing, but have been know to cut a rug or two.
I am what you call a Closet Dancer.
Behind closed doors and back with some serious beats, I dance to my hearts content in front of a mirror; emulating the sweet moves I’ve been admiring since I was just a lil’ guy.
Now I pass my secrets on to you. Watch this video. (That’s where you’ll see the man in action!)
About a year ago, a video came out that put my father at the top by embracing an atypical avenue of entertainment. My knee-jerk reaction was, “I don’t think you should do it, dad.”
Shows how much I know about the entertainment industry…
The capital of New Jersey and nicknamed T-Town is where I spent today. Sure it was for work, but it was actually a lot of fun.
I didn’t have much time to go around and see the city but there are two experiences I would like to share. The first was going to Sears… (No, seriously!) I had to pick up a few items from Sears, and as I was crossing the Delaware in a car over a bridge, I was reflected upon another individual who crossed that same river in the dead of winter in boat—just that that event took place 231 years ago. I felt a little patriotic.
The second was the Cigar Nirvana shop…? OK, not really. I just thought it was random.
If you ever go through New Jersey, stop off in Trenton.
I’ve decided to write a blog entry while on the 6 train heading home from work. And I’m dedicating my entry to the guy sitting next to me reading what I’m typing. Funny how there is little privacy in New York. Not like that is something new. I mean, in a city of 8 million people trying to find a 10×10 plot of land you can keep to yourself is a little difficult to find. (he just read my entry again) this is becoming a lot of fun-writing an entry to a guy who just can’t keep out of other people’s business.
Ok, this is just too weird. I’m getting off this crazy train. Now on to the 5 train.
Wow! This is much better. Instead of being crammed up shoulder to shoulder I now at least have enough room to cross my legs. Still pretty busy though.
